I’ve been playing around with Ableton Live 9, the lights on my MIDI Fighter 3D and a Doepfer modular synth lately. My resident artist decided to snap some photos of the stuff, so we ended up playing around. Here are the results.

Electronic music, controllerism, the digital musician known as Bandesnaci and some other cool things.

I first made contact with these guys through Twitter, about a week ago. They’re a bunch of music enthusiasts that have started a forum dedicated to controllerism and turntablism, with hopes of the whole thing blossoming into a real community later on. Since I’m into these sorts of things, I made an account, started posting, and then got contacted directly and offered the role of moderator. Now, I’m not usually a forum guy, and my experiences with forums have been far from satisfying in the past (mostly because of very closed and snobbish communities), but I really like this site. The two main admins (apart from myself) are posting some really cool stuff regularly (like this amazing thing!), and there’s a cool, optimistic feel about this whole thing. It’s obviously still in its infancy, but I hope it’ll get somewhere in the near future.
Meanwhile, why don’t you try joining?
